Welcome to Trails & Treks -- There’s nothing better than being outside, breathing fresh air, and taking in a breathtaking view. Whether it’s hiking through towering redwoods, climbing up rocky desert trails, or chasing waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest, I love every kind of adventure nature has to offer.

Hiking has become the heart of my travels. It all started back when we got Bishop, our pitbull pup, in Chicago. We would drive him to the suburbs or surrounding areas just to find places where we could take him for long walks. At the time, I worked a remote job and barely left the house, but everything changed when we moved to Portland in 2020. Suddenly, we were surrounded by endless opportunities to explore—Forest Park, waterfalls, mountains, coastal trails—and we couldn’t get enough.

Now that we live full-time on the road in Fern, our RV, hiking shapes where we go. We pick destinations based on the best trails, National Parks, and outdoor adventures we can find. From trekking through lava beds and slot canyons to discovering hidden caves and desert oases, we’re always searching for our next great hike.
